Physician & Surgeon

Dr. Kay Case was born in Wisconsin and has spent most of the last 30 years in the Northwest. She holds doctoral degrees in both human and veterinary medicine, earning her MD from the University of Washington in Seattle. She completed her four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Dr. Case is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  “It is both a privilege and a blessing to work with women every day, sharing in some of the most profound experiences in people’s lives”.  She is the proud mother of three boys and loves to spend time outdoors, with family and her animals.

SearsCelina C. Sears, MD
Physician & Surgeon

A childhood injury sparked an interest in medicine for Celina Sears. After working in research, Dr. Sears decided a medical degree would allow her to incorporate her love of science and interacting with people into a ful lling career. As a physician at Women’s Health Care, Dr. Sears provides outpatient care in addition to performing gynecologic surgery and delivering babies. Raised in Southern California, Dr. Sears was awarded a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology from the University of California, Irvine before earning her medical degree from St. Louis University. Dr. Sears served in the U.S. Navy for nearly a decade. Dr. Sears loves the combination of surgery, continuity of care and women’s health found in the obstetric/gynecologic field. Dr. Sears lives in McMinnville with her husband and three children. When she’s not helping her patients, Dr. Sears pursues physical fitness and explores the delicious world of food. She says the former allows her to do the latter with little guilt.

Family Nurse Practitioner

Melissa Heuberger joined our staff in November 2004. She graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1997 and worked as a labor and delivery nurse for five years. She then went on to complete her master’s degree and Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Portland in 2004. As a nurse practitioner, she enjoys providing healthcare to women where she can focus on education as well as treatment. “I believe it is an asset to be a woman caring for other women in healthcare”. Melissa is originally from McMinnville, where she lives with her two daughters.

Certified Nurse Midwife

Anne Ziemba joined our staff in December 2015. She earned her undergraduate degree from Hampshire College in Massachusetts, where she became passionate about midwifery. She went on to graduate from the University of Illinois in Chicago earning her master’s in midwifery, where she trained in two busy urban hospitals. After graduation, Anne worked as a midwife at a birth center until joining Women’s Health Care.  She enjoys every aspect of midwifery from providing annual exams to delivering babies. She appreciates the unique nature of each and every birth, while providing empowering, individualized midwifery care.  Anne and her husband, Jonathan are happy to be living in beautiful Oregon and enjoy hiking, cooking and reading in their free time.

Holly Vernon – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

Holly Vernon grew up in Southwestern Michigan and attended Colorado State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Science. Later, she decided a career change was in order and after considered investigation she earned her certificate in ultrasound. After 10 years of gaining experience in ultrasound at an Indiana hospital, she decided another change was due and recently joined Women’s Health Care as a sonographer. Holly is very excited about the move to McMinnville and is looking forward to patient centered care in a clinic setting and focusing on the care of the mother and her unborn baby. “Nothing is as beautiful as a family seeing their baby for the first time. I feel it is an honor to be the one to introduce them to their new family member”. Viewing the baby’s live images is a way for mom and dad to feel joy and excitement in a shared experience. Holly loves to bike, kayak, and go antiquing all with her long term partner, Sean. The couple is looking forward to outdoor activities in Oregon and checking out wine country!
